I can't get no satisfaction

 Hey!  Calzini here!  

So....I've been getting more comfortable....over the ...years.  I used to be standoffish...but...I let the peoples pet me now....and I like to get schmoozey.  I go to see Mamma in the morning and get my pets and schmoozies....but I NEVER let her pick me up!  NO!  Nope....no...not gonna happen.  

I let the big Papa guy pet me too.  But not too much.  

So, anyway....Mamma has this chair.  We all LOVE this chair.  I don't know.  It's special somehow.

And we've been sleeping in it at night.  Izz okay cause there's no one else around so it's all to ourselves and that's fine. 

But in the daytime we tries to steal it.  Sometimes it works for awhile, sometimes it doesn't.

Well, I've noticed that my buddies share the chair even in the daytime.  I've seen them in Mamma's LAP!!  Stupid big Percy slops himself there all the time.  Lupo is there every morning!!!  I've even seen my SISTER there!  Yep!  Missy Tee!  Soooooo, I got to wondering......

And I did a few approaches.  Percy or Lupo were there already, and I would put a paw or two on the chair.  Maybe even ALL my paws!!!  And I would get pets and schmoozies.  It was nice.  It was really nice.  So....I began to wonder........

Tonight I tried it!  Mamma was there....no one else in her lap.....and I went for it!  Haha!!!!  I did it!  I got on the chair ALL by myself!   And I was getting pets and......everything went dark!!  Agggghhh!!!

The peoples moved....everything was dark......and soon the light came back but I was on the couch by then.  I could hear my name, but I didn't pay attention.   I don't know if I will try again.  Maybe.  We'll see.  Maybe.....

***** We get frequent power outages due to using electric heaters to save on gas.   Not sure WHY it went out when it did...very little was being run.  Poor Calzini!!!******

I'm a pepper, he's a pepper, wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?

Peppers.  Very popular here.  Which is kind of funny after awhile, because you also learn that bland food is quite the norm also.  Spinacini is a patty made of spinach and chicken.  Bland.  Ricotta cheese is used all the time to tone down things.  Potatoes...to my surprise, are very popular here. And tasteless and bland.

So!  People grow bunches of peppers and peppers grow rapidly and are plentiful.  They grow in simple pots.  On balconies, in front of doors in the street, in window boxes.  Peppers, peppers, peppers.  Not the LARGE ones, the little pepperoni....the hot little bastards.

We don't grow them ourselves because....everyone else does!!! Our neighbor gives us peppers.  Another neighbor further down, too!  And more recently, the owner of a local sundries store gave us a load of peppers....because.    Agggghh.

I mean, there's only two of us.  How many peppers can I use????

My husband was already asleep.  I was heading to bed the other night but I heard a small commotion going on.  What???  

When I got into the kitchen, mostly dark....there were two cats on the counter and two on the floor...I could see one on the floor was Lupo.  One on the counter jumped down immediately.  The other, whom I had to push down, I THINK was Notte.  Why were they on the counter?  PEPPERS!!!!

Apparently someone thought it would be great fun to smack some peppers around the kitchen floor, you know?!!! Like a soccer game!!!  Yea!!!  

I turned on the light above the stove....retrieved some peppers from the counter top and stove....and then also found two or three in various places on the floor.  What fun!  Pepper fights!

Would an American cat do this??  Just wondering.
