I think we're alone now.....

Scruffy and Tee have been a "couple" since the beginning.  In fact, I hesitated taking Tee in without Scruff because of the obvious bond they had.  But....we did.  We took Scruffy in soon after, however.

These two have made it very clear that "they" are a couple.  While they play and fraternize with everyone else, they have remained a special pair throughout.  It is my personal opinion that "they" rule the roost.

Missy Tee is ornery and often foul tempered.  She seems to have a permanent scowl, like the Spice Girl married to the soccer player.  Even so....she never, ever gets angry with Scruff.  Never.  Not ever.

They cuddle.  On the sofa. On the chair..on MY chair.  On the back of the sofa.  On a radiator, if it's cold outside.

Because of the conflict in Ukraine, we are trying to use less gas.  In other words...I'm fucking cold...and so are the cats.  Only I can put on a shirt and two sweatshirts and two layers of socks and they can't.  (We have two electric heaters that help...sort of...I am not happy about any of this and it is a source of consternation in this house).

At any rate....the babies snuggles...and these two snuggle A LOT!!!  I'm beginning to think they can't freaking wait for me to go to bed so they can do their heart shaped snuggle for the night!

"Look at me, I'm as helpless as a kitten up a tree....and I feel like I'm clinging to a cloud, I can't understand....I get ...misty..."

It's wonderful to be here, it's certainly a thrill

Ahhhhh, the peppers.  The freaking peppers.  Someone takes them out of the microwave and leaves them out on the counter.

I was preparing dinner, which involved a large pot of water for boiling tortellini.  I left the room for a few minutes to take a pill....wash my hands before starting dinner and I heard a noise.  Not sure where my husband was...possibly the bedroom and he heard it too.  Hmmmmmmm.

LUPO!!!!  Lupo couldn't resist the temptation.  His partner in crime was little Notte.  He had gotten up on the counter and to the back where the remaining peppers were and in the process he managed to spill half a ton of water all over the place!!!

There was water all over the stove, water all over the counter, water on the floor.  Water, water everywhere.  So, out came the paper towels...it was too much for a sponge or towel.  Hubs did the floor, I attacked the stove and counter....both of us falling over one another.

We managed to clean it up and luckily, the stove worked (I was afraid it wouldn't go on after the deluge.)

Dinner was delayed but all was well.  The rest of the peppers were thrown away, they were getting old anyway.

When I returned later to the living room, Lupo was happily plopped in my chair.  I reprimanded him sternly, so he got up and moved across the room.  I yelled at him this time and he disappeared.  Bad boy!!!

This morning he came to me for his morning cuddles....all is forgiven, you little brat.

Rain...I don't mind

Our relentless heat wave finally came to an abrupt end.  One day it was still hot, dry summer and the next...RAIN!  And with that...lower t...
